Welcome to Lençois Maranhenses, a desert located in North-East Brazil. It is an absolutely unique setting in the world: rainwater accumulates in the hollows of the white sand dunes, and therefore forms hundreds of freshwater lagoons that are waiting for one thing: for you to dive in!
Organizing a trip there is not easy because there is very little information in French. Moreover, people almost only speak Portuguese (small Portuguese memo at the end of the guide to help you). We spent 2 weeks only at this location to test all the visit options: airplane flight, quad, 4x4 and trekking on foot!
